How deposits work

A $500 deposit holds a vehicle for you for 72 hours from payment. The deposit is non-refundable and is applied to the purchase price.

The basics

  • Amount: $500.
  • Non-refundable: the deposit is not returned if you do not complete the purchase.
  • Hold length: 72 hours from payment.
  • Applied to your price: when you buy the car, the deposit counts toward the purchase price.
  • Paid first: the vehicle is held only after the deposit is paid. A reserve request alone does not hold the car.

How to reserve a car

  1. Open the vehicle’s page and choose Reserve for $500.
  2. Share your name and phone number (email is optional), and confirm you understand the deposit is non-refundable.
  3. Our team sends you a secure payment link. You can also pay the deposit in person.
  4. Your 72-hour hold starts when the deposit is paid.

Bank transfers through the payment link settle in 1–4 business days; we confirm your reservation when the funds settle. Browse inventory or call (971) 999-3303.

Ways to pay the deposit

  • A secure payment link from F&F Motors (bank transfer)
  • Cash, in person
  • Cashier’s check
  • Money order
  • Zelle

What happens after 72 hours

  • If you complete the purchase within the hold, the deposit is credited toward the total price.
  • If you do not complete the purchase before the hold expires, the deposit is forfeited and the vehicle is relisted.

You sign a deposit receipt and hold agreement when the deposit is collected. The deposit does not complete the sale: a separate vehicle purchase agreement is signed, and the final price and all terms are in that agreement.

Deposit questions

Can I put a hold on a car?

Yes. Hold 72 hours with a $500 non-refundable deposit, applied to your price. The vehicle is held only after the deposit is paid; a reserve request alone does not hold the car. Our team sends a secure payment link, or you can call (971) 999-3303.

Through a secure payment link from F&F Motors, or with cash in person, a cashier’s check, a money order, or Zelle.
